| oranges...not okay! So we never feed chewy table food, because he is alergic to so many things we are unsure on what he would be okay with. well this morning i was eating an orange and chewy was barking at it, and wanting it...so i looked up on the internet if it was okay to give a dog oranges, and found it was okay! so i gave him about 1/2 an inch of my orange slice...and he made funny faces...and thought i was in the clear...and then he threw it up.... oranges...not okay can ur pups have oranges?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I wouldn't give...they just sound too acidic for doggies - I just picture their little lips puckering all up from the tartness!

| I haven't fed any to Scooter, but my little Cockapoo, Chipper, loved oranges and tangerines. Living in Florida, we have fruit trees, and he'd always sniff the ones that had fallen, pick one out, and bring it to us to peel for him. Then he got to where he'd peel them himself with his teeth and eat them. He loved them. Unfortunately, we lost him last June to congestive heart failure. I sure do miss my little guy! He was my Love. |

While oranges aren't going to hurt your dog like chocolate or grapes would (unless they're allergic), they are too acidic. I rarely, if ever, give Ellie citrus.
