| 12-week old with Ear Infection? Does anyone know if this is normal for my 12-week old puppy to have an ear infection. The vet gave me drops called Tresaderm. She came from a private breeder and when I picked her up from the airport I noticed her ears smelled bad. I took her to the vet to have her checked and she has an ear infection. Thanks |

| I had the same problem with archie. I got him at around 12 weeks old, when I picked him up at the airport I did not notice anything but when I took him to vet 2 days later she said his ears were a tad red and she thought it was the beginning of an ear infection. I gave him the same drops and it went away fairly quickly, I have had him for 2 months now and he has not had another problem like that

| I had the same thing. The vet gave me some medicine called MOMETAMAX. This was for a fungal infection, not a bacterial one. I do not know if that is the same thing or not. But yes, she had an ear infection from the get go. and now when I see her scratching her ears, I use the drops.

| Lexie had an ear infection when I got her at 14 weeks and the vet gave me Tresaderm too. It worked really well...just make sure to finish the bottle!
