| Temporary Paralysis?? I dont know exactly how to explain it but when my dog gets nervous really bad she can no longer walk her legs freeze up and she starts limping really bad and this will last for about 5 minutes or so and start breathing kinda funny. She also did this when I took her to the vet b4 they took her to the back. Anyone else experience this? I'll try to get it on video the next time she does it |

My Shih Tzu suffers from seizures ocassionally. His muscles will lock up, and he will become stiff. This makes it very difficult for him to walk (as he tries to get to me). Sometimes if it's a bad one, he will simply fall over as he tries to walk. He pants a lot, his eyes get very wide and glassy. He sometimes will drool. On ocassion, Reggie has gone into a seizure if he is very stressed out (He has storm phobias). Most last about 5 minutes, some are longer. When it's over, he's often quite tired but otherwise fine. Any of that sound familiar?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This almost sounds more like a partial seizure to me. I would get this thoroughly checked out.

| Did the vet's office witness it? I'd have it evaluated. My vet said that many times they don't want to do medication for seizures that are infrequent. But you'll want to make sure everything is checked out and get an official diagnosis.
