| What is the best homecooking..... book to buy? I'd love to know what everyone recommends based on their experience.

| Dr Pitcairn's Guide to Dog and Cats is a great place to start.. it's where i started... i've since modified Layla's diet based on what i have learned here and my own prefernces but i highly recommend it as a place to start. I am always using it to look something up! |

| I agree! That book is a great starting point and explains everything in depth.

| What about great snacks are there some of those in that book? Or is there a better place to get that?

| I don't use recipes for snacks either. Mine get organic nonfat plain yogurt with peeled apple pieces(no seeds b/c those are toxic), nonfat low-sodium cottage cheese, strawberries, seedless watermelon, carrots, green beans, etc.
