| Lost and confused As some of you might know I just got my baby Lex. I started looking for pet insurance as soon as I decided to get a puppy and yet I still don't have pet insurance! I really wanted to know which pet insurance I was going to get for him. Before I got him but I truly don't know which one is the best. My dad even tried to help and read all the pet insurance brochures I have plus the other pet insurance that I bookmarked. He told me the same thing I have been telling myself they all look the same.-_- I would truly appreciate any information on any pet insurance. I want to get the best for my little angel but I don't know which one I should get for him.

| We have VPI. I have not used it yet, hope I never do. I heard some say it paid ok and others say it stunk! I guess it depends on what the problem is with the sick pup. From what I read, or understand reading the policy, I think it's pretty good. However, I would guess you have to pay upfront and be reimbursed after the fact. Something is better than nothing I guess. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have VPI on my 3 yorkies, it is good if you don't have a congenital or hereditary conditon. I have gotten my money's worth on Cali and pretty good on Pixie.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I am confused too with what they don't cover and what can become a congential issue. Gave me a headache. I just got carecredit so in case of an emergency I can use that. I am thinking of just getting the emergency care and not the one that covers routine stuff. The cost of routine care once your done spaying is nothing. Good luck on what you decide.

| Yeah we also have Care Credit. I have a personal, moral issue with insurance companies, so I don't think I will ever get pet insurance. I've heard of other people only getting a portion of what they had to pay in vet bills, and that's on top of paying a monthly fee. If they covered everything, then it would not even be a question. However, since you have to file the claim AFTERWARDS, you never know what will and won't be paid for. I'm sure that there are others who have it and have benefited greatly from it. However, I personally would just take the amount of money I would spend each month on pet insurance and save it.

| I'm sorry to hear that. Your babies do look adorable though.
