Cecilia made it thru. She made it thru her spaying today. She is so completely drugged up. I feel so bad. She just looks like she feels horrible. vet showed me her ovaries and uterus and there were indeed, small cysts on her ovaries that would have been causing her extended heat. She is limping around and is getting pretty swollen. She was shaking most of the day from the anesthesia. I would appreciate anyone else's experiences with their dogs after spaying. Thanks for all of the well wishes.

She'll be fine in a few days time, since they're so little they need a bit of time to recover after any surgery. Just make sure she gets her water and food everyday even though she is a bit weak now.

Poor baby and poor you!! When I had Gypsy Rose spayed (and that wasn't for a medical reason) I felt so bad and asked myself what on earth I'd done to my baby (knowing all along really that it was for the best!) - this is normal aand you had an added incentive - she will be different 2moro and they recover so quickly and you'll be very proud of yourself that you were able to take her - honestly!! Gentle hugs to her, she's such a sweet baby! Ana xx

| So glad Cecilia is OK!! The best thing for her is just keep her warm, hold her [if you have the time ... I hardly put Toto down for 2 days after her spaying], make sure she drinks plenty of water [Toto wouldn't eat for a few days] and don't let her climb and jump! You'll be surprised at how quickly she gets back to her old self! Puppy kisses!!

I'm glad all went well. Spaying can be so scary b/c they have to go internal as opposed to males -- they just cut the skin as deep as they need to for removal of their parts. I'm sure she just needs TLC and good naptime without distractions. Glad she's well.

Gucci was spayed at the begining of Dec. She was in pain for about two days and was sleeping most of the days. On the third day she started feeling better and was 85 percent back to herself. The vet. said to keep her quiet for 5 days, a task very hard to to. They are not allowed to run around or jump off furniture. Give Cecilia lots of love and she will be back to normal real soon.. Good Luck!!!
