| Does your dogs stomach ever growl and gurgle loudly? even if they are not sick. I am kind of worried. My baby seems fine, but she is laying next to me and I can hear her stomach making the most awful sounds. Other times when she has had this...it ends up being a long, long night with her usually having some kind of intestinal upset. Of course the first time it happened I got online and looked up the symptoms and had myself convinced she had bloat...symptoms didnt really fit, but I am such a worry wart over her. I can never sleep if I think something is wrong with her. I dont know is she ate something that didnt agree with her or what, but her stomach is definitely talking back. |

| Yes any time the eat canned food, which is a lot! If you think she might not feel well (like she isn't perky or playful or she doesn't get excited when you say 'treat') then try feeding her some rice. That will definitely help with an upset tummy.

| Most likely she does have an upset tummy. She might be getting ready to have some loose stools. Last edited by bjh; 02-03-2008 at 06:13 PM. |

| Oh Yes - I have been there many, many times. Sometimes TJ's episodes would go on for hours and hours of that NOISE - then the globs of mucus poop. It's def. her digestive track. I spent many months trying to figure out what was wrong with TJ, I was at the Vet at least 2 or 3 times a week. We did antibs, single source protein diet (duck/potato), blood tests (which showed he had an over growth of bacteria in his intestines) and then final approx. 6 months on an antib called Tylan. If it continues, I would get a blood panel done, and maybe change her diet completely. |

| If you dog goes into any excessive vomiting or diarrhea please go to the vet. It is unlike but possible that it could be something like pancreatitis (maybe chronic and mild). Hopefully it wouldn't be severe, but it isn't something to mess around with. It is probably more along the lines of gastroenteritis or just something that is normal for your dog though.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My pom gets that a lot and she has colitis. I have medicine for her. You could try putting her on yogurt or acidipulus.
