| hates brushing his teeth So he hates letting me brush his teeth- I am afraid we will have some major bills and lately his breath smells a little. I use this stuff from happy tails spa : dog smog (you can spray it in their mouth to eliminate bad breath and intestinal issues) and it is a lot better- but what can I do? www.happytailsspa.com

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | You need to be persistent with him on it. They eventually give up. I also found that using a toddler tooth brush vs the one that they sell for dogs or the one that goes on your finger to be best. Good luck.

| Your pup needs to become accustom to having his teeth brused, that's all. Start with toothpaste on you finger and brush his teeth that way and after he is used to you finger in his mouth buy a rubber finger brush and do it that way. Purchase petzlife and use following directions to keep tartar off the teeth but this has to be used with brushing as well. He will get use to it, it just takes time. Give him a treat after so he knows what a good boy he was. It's important to start early on because Yorkies looses their teeth at an early age if not properly cared for. Also, make sure he has lot's of safe chew bones available to him. |

One thing, though. They shouldn't have food or water for a half hour after using Petzlife so no treat afterwards. Lady hates that part! | |

| I use the Petzlife right before bed with Chloe' that way I don't have to worry about keeping the food, water or treats away from them. I do have a question, Myah is 12 weeks old, and is that too young to use the petzlife? |

| Is Cet Toothpaste Better Than Petzlife Gel? Does Anyone Know If The Cet Toothpaste Is Better For Our Yorkies Teeth Than Petzlife Gel? I Have Been Using Petzlife Gel Now For About 1 Year Or So And It Has Prevented Any Build Up , But It Is Not Getting Them Sparkling White. I Brush Sammy's Teeth Every Night Before We Go To Bed. 7 Days A Week. Any Advice Or Help Is Appreciated ! |

| Try using some gauze wrapped around you finger to "brush" (wipe) the teeth. I find it works much better than any brush I've tried and the girls tolerate it better, even if they still don't like it. We do this EVERY day and it has made a huge difference. We do use PetzLife gel about 3 times a week afterwards too.

What a great idea I never thought of gauze. My little Teddy hates you going near his teeth but we all know we have to get them used to it somehow as their teeth are so important. I use Petzlife gel and spray it's great stuff !

I was never consistent with the Petzlife, so I can't say how well it works but CET (vanilla mint) is my favorite. I just found out that CET offers a water additive to clean teeth but that it has an ingredient in it that I would never give a dog, so I'd stick with their toothpaste (and maybe rinse).
