Goomba isn't feeling well...something he ate? We have two male Yorkie puppies (they are brothers). Goomba is larger then Moco but tends to be the sicker of the two. A few weeks ago they were outside and were chewing on a frog that one of our cats had killed. Whatever part they ate upset their stomach and both puppies ended up sick (with different symptoms). Both had rumbling stomachs though and after a trip to the vet & antibiotics they got better and were able to pass what they ate. Well it seems as though Goomba has eaten (again) either a frog, lizard or bird part that the cats left in the yard. He hasn't been as perky for the last two days and his stomach has been rumbling again. Has anyone ever heard of giving a dog a mix of raw egg and milk to coat and help their stomach? My neighbor mentioned it but she has large collies....would this be harmful to a little Yorkies system? Goomba has been drinking plenty and he enjoyed part of a Greenie this evening. The only other strange thing is that he urinated on the couch while sitting next to me yesterday and then today he urinated in their new doggie bed...never alerting me to either incident beforehand. Is he trying to tell me that he isn't feeling well? Thanks.

If he usually pees outside and is pretty good about it, he may be sick to pee where he peed. I know when Yorkies are weak (like after a surgery or teeth pulling, etc), they really don't like to move much and really can't because they are so tired. It could be he ate something else bad, I hope he's better soon! I have not heard of that concoction, if he doesn't get better in a day or so, I'd take him to the vet, as we all know it's better to be safe than sorry. Welcome to our little community!

we gave my golden the mix of raw egg, milk, and rice when she was sick (she died eventually, but we kept her alive for a LONG TIME considering she probably had canine distemper (we kept her alive for a couple months..... but she had cancer too, which lowered her immune system....) i have also heard of people using boiled chicken and rice ............ i got some bad reprecussions from other dog people though for the raw egg thing because it can cause salmanilla poisoning or something? but ive never heard of any cases of that actually happening...

NEVER give a dog raw egg! I made that mistake years ago and had one sick dog on my hands. Giving milk can cause problems, too. Boiled rice is the best.....with a little boiled chicken. Sounds like you might need to check your yard for bodies the little feline assasins leave behind.........

How old is he? Poor little boy, he must be feeling poorly - not much we can do about these yorkies eating things they shouldn't though - it seems to me that our two always seem to have something in their mouths! Chicken and rice is good, best not to feed anything else until he feels better. I have recently found that our two, whilst they spit out white rice, eat BROWN wholemeal rice which is a relief. I used to have rice stuck in all our carpets ...!! Do hope he is better very soon.

| I agree with "no raw egg or milk"! My first inclination would be to take him to the vet ... the chicken and rice [we also prefer brown, Ana, I am inclined to spit the white rice out myself! ] might encourage him to eat and feel better. We have on occasion, but very rarely, given Toto either scrambled or boiled egg white but never, ever yolk and never raw! I would be concerned about the urination, especially if it's out of character for him! Hope he is better soon ... please keep us updated!
