| Fleas! I feel like the worst mommy in the world. I was giving Murphy a belly rub last night and noticed all these little bites on his tummy ....than all of a sudden I saw 3 - 4 fleas running. I took them to a Dog park recently so that HAS got to be where he got them from since we really have not ever had a flea problem. WAY TO GO MOM!! I have not had him on any treatments now for a while since I was trying to the natural remedies but it looks like I am going to have to go back to the Frontline method. I just need some help first since Murphy and Mia are both covered in fleas and bites (my poor babies) I am assuming they are all in my house too (UGH...YUCK). I have read to bathe them both in the Original Dawn Dish Soap right? Than I need to bomb my house and spray the yard. I also have some 320 mule team borax I intend to sprinkle on the carpets and leave. Any other advice, or advice on what products will rid my house of these fleas?

| The dreaded four letter word....flea....I hate them. Here in Texas they are a real problem. I would bath them in Dawn diluted with water. Anyone out there know how much Dawn and how much water? I prefer Advantage over Frontline. Also it would be good to know if anyone knows of a good flea repellent to use before taking the dogs to the park? Do they work? Good luck getting rid of the fleas. | I'm at the same place you are. I don't really use those chemicals anymore. They are so toxic. Thankfully Ellie doesn't get a lot o fleas. I don't think you have to dilute the Dawn at all... If you are going to go with chemicals again I prefer not using Advantix (different then Advantage) because of the permethrin they add.

Thanks....I was not sure if you had to dilute the Dawn either. I am not a fan of Advantix either but have had great luck with Frontline. Does any one know what Capstar is? I have read that is a flea prevenative as well but do not know what it is. Thanks!

Doesn't it kill all adult fleas immediately?

| YUP....I just got back from the Vet and bought a frontline for both babies and a capstar. They told me the capstar would kill the fleas immediately. I am hoping by the time I go home from work they are all pretty much dead on them and than I will start the process to get them out of the home. UGH...this really sucks!!
