| My Pepper is sick! Hello! This is the first time I'm posting a question in this web, but I've been reading the questions and answers and I love it !! I have a problem with my Pepper (Pboy for short). He has the runs for the past two days and it is really smelly and sticky and it isn't the first time it happens. I took him to the Vet and she told me just to give him a bland diet for the next ten days. His next appointment will be next wednesday. Does someone has any idea what my baby could have ...I'm afraid for my second baby, Swee'Pea, she is only 14 weeks old but she likes to chase Pboy around and harass him, my mom thinks he is sick because he is jealous |

| Many people here recommend a bland diet of boiled chicken breast w/rice to settle his stomach. I've tried it with my little guy and it did the trick. You might also want to consider Nutrical (available from the vet) to keep his blood sugar from getting too low. Good luck and hope your little guy feels better soon! |

| Did you have your second baby's stool checked for any parasites when you got her? When I brought my second baby home he had giardia with no symptoms but he passed it on to my first one and she's the one that got the diarrhea The chicken/rice does help if it's only an upset tummy

| yayks!!! I got Sweet'Pea four weeks ago and she just had her vaccines and since it was holiday season I could make the appointment until now...Small military community Her poop is some times hard and a few quantity but some times, like yesterday, when she poop, I thought it was a great Dane poop huge and soft, but she still running a lot, chewing everything and everybody on her way and pee normal too... so I was wondering if I should give Pboy some Pepto ( my vet told me to give him a little Benadril!) |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Did the vet do a stool test? Hope so. It could be stress from the new puppy, it's not super likely - but it can happen; the digestive system overall (like in humans) is very vulnerable to stress. Can you give some canned pumpkin? Also, you could homecook rice and whitefish for him - that would help.

| With these Yorkies, stress plays a major roll in their well being and can bring on diarrhea. We just added a third Yorkie to our family and both my other Yorkies went thru. diarrhea. One even vomiting. I held food back for 24 hours, giving only a little Kaopectate every 6 hours, then started out with white rice and boiled chicken. Just about a tablespoon three times a day for the first day to see how they do. Has the Vet. checked for parisites? That's another thing that can cause diarrhea. Change in food can do this as well. So many things, that it really ends up being a guessing game that we just have to eliminate one thing at a time. Good luck with you and your baby. Keep us updated. |

| My Pepper is sick Did they do a stool check to see if it had a bacterial infection? If so, they should prescribe antibiotics. Also, cook brown rice in low sodium chicken broth and fat free Activia. This is what my Vet recommends and I have had success. Good Luck.

| Thanks! I'm so sorry I did answer until now!!! Thanks to everybody who give me advice!! Pepper is feeling better and has a new appointment next wednesday. I'm also taking Swee'Pea with us for her check. Right now both of them are playing chasing each other...I really hope my Pboy get to like Swee'Pea. I kinda feel guilty I added a new puppy to our familly without thinking to much on Pboy's feelings. Don't get me wrong, I love Swee'Pea but I don't like to see my little man upset |
