Gizmo seems a bit depressed today, he keeps looking down to the floor and won't eat alot... his stomach makes this little noises, not sure if its a stomach upset or what? Vets are closed .. any ideas? Could it be he is just having a tummy ache ? He is 2 yrs and 6 months today actually... and he weighs 4.5 lbs? |

| Otis's belly used to do that every now and then, usually accompanied by some mucousy loose stool. Other members would probably argue with this, but what seems to help Otis is a little bit of bread. I usually give him less than 1/2 a peice and it seems to help settle his belly. Hope your baby feels better soon.

| I hope Gizmo is feeling better. Remi has had upset stomachs before. I always attribute this to his bad habit of picking up everything in sight when he plays outside. Many times he chews it and swallows before I can stop him. I have never given him Pepto or anything but he has had the stomach gurgles before. I know that if he is looking out of sorts you will take him to the vet to check him out. Tell Gizmo that Remi hopes he is feeling much better too! |

| Ive never heard of giving them pepto. I always give mine a little cottage cheese. Usually when they act like this they are going to throw up, Take him outside and let him eat some grass if it is possible.

| If he keep acting like this he may have swallowed something, your may want to go to the vet. I am suprised he has not vomited.

| Mitzi gets scared, hides and looks sad when she has gas. I give her some beano drops, that helps... A trip to the vet might be the best thing to do... Hope he feels better soon! |

| When Muffin's tummy starts making those noises it ALWAYS means she has an upset tummy. It happens to her every couple of months and she won't eat at all. Sometimes her tummy gurgles so loud I just know she's uncomfortable. I usually do give her a little Pepto Bismol as this helps but it's usually 24 hours before she's feeling back to her normal self.

| My Mia was doing that last week. It lasted a couple of days. I thought maybe she was just po'd at her brother for always bothering her. She's fine now. I just think they are like us... and get the blahs now and then. Both of mine do get girgglely (?) tummies and I have given them the above (at different times). Pepto - a very small amount thru the mini syringe. Cottage cheese - about a teaspoon. Hope he's feeling better soon!

| My bailey's stomach makes those noises too when he has a stomachache- glad he isn't the only one. After 2 poops with the mucus he is ok- we hate it bc he is a puppy and gets so out of it when it happens. For us it was the chix strips that hurt his tummy. |

When I got here after class , I gave him some Karo Syrup which he LOVED..lol.. and some little tidbits of pumkin in the can I didnt push the Pedialyte Rice water but I will give him some in about an hour or so.. I have the chicken boiling and will shred it and bag it for tomorrow. he is sleeping by me on the couch and we went potty outside #1 and he seems a bit better.. he finally did the circle dance to go potty so thats a litte step forward.. hopefully tomorrow he gets better... the vet told me give him time to see if he acts better given that he doesnt have diarrhea or is throwing up and has hard stools.... shoot I wish I was a psychic right now... |

Did your vet tell you to give him Pepto? We used to use it too, per the vet, until our vet told us they changed the formulation and it now contains aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) which would make it the worst thing to give your furkid because aspirin it irritates the stomach! Who knew? | |

| You mentioned mucus in his stool -- my pup has had several gastro problems in his two years and I can tell you that mucus in the stool is almost never "just" a tummy upset. It's usually a sign of something more serious. Did your vet seemed concerned about the mucus? Hope your little one is better soon.

| So Bailey had the gurgles in his stomach today along with vomiting - yea it wasnt just nothing it was pancreatitis. He's going to be fine, but if there is blood in the stool, take him on to the vet. |
