| Poor baby! I am so sorry that he's so miserable. He really needs to see a vet, hon. Do what you can and get him in. Maybe they will work out a payment plan since you are an established patient.

you really have to take him in ASAP. He shouldn't have a rash either - poor baby - he must be miserable. Some vets will work out a payment plan with you - BEG if you have to.... but take him in.... ps - IF he's already been to the vet - this could be classified as a follow up visit and maybe not as expensive -

| What kind of meds did they put him on? Everything put together does sound like a yeast infection or allergic. Both may be related to food. What is he eating?

| I don't think Villette was yelling at you. I think she is just concerned that the meds aren't working. Opening up the skin can become dangerous because then there is a risk of infection (staph...). Ellie makes her ears bleed also. It is an allergy to corn (she has no rash). It was acquired from leaving her on a garbage food for too long. We use synotic when it flairs up. We also pulled the food with corn in it. She is doing better but when a corn flake falls...itchy ears. So if the vet doesn't know what to do and it might be an allergy I would change food and ask for synotic. Otomax should have taken care of the yeast.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh gosh, poor baby - he sounds really miserable! Hopefully, the vet can determine what's wrong. If not, he may end up on a wide-spectrum antibiotic anyway and/or ointment - but I hope you find an answer. Like Crystal asked, I'm wondering what you're feeding? Lastly, Villette has a heart of gold - and I really didn't read her post as "yelling"; I think she was concerned for the state your baby was in.

This could be the problem! Change his diet. Some dogs are highly allergic to corn and chicken. Try a better kibble, like Natural Balance Potato and Duck or something without the corn, which is used as a filler, and chicken. I am sure it's diet. Please change immediately. Poor baby. This food is a very poor diet. There is nothing natural in it. It's not your fault. You can't believe what your told regarding dog food. Most of it is plain crap! Canidae, Natural Balance, Chicken Soup and many other;s are natural food with no fillers. I hope this help's both of you. Please keep us informed. If you can't get to the store for now boil brown or white rice and fry chop meat up and mix it together and feed until you can get a better kibble. This is only temporary because it does not have all the necessary nutrients in it remember. But get him off the corn and chicken for now. Good luck, | |

| I know! I'm so upset right now, I e-mailed the rescue i got him from b/c those are the only dogs he's been around, and I am upset that the vet didn't catch this before, now he is on 2 meds to get rid of it and i'm going to have to break his heart but he's not sleeping with me anymore.
