| VPI Insurance and Luxating Patella Has anyone had success with getting VPI to cover LP? If so, what did you have to do to get it covered? I just got a denial for Gracie's x-rays, alleging the condition is not covered. It is not listed in the exclusions nor is it listed in the coverages. I had thought that elbow luxation was the same thing but apparently it is not. I want to appeal but I need a bit more info from someone else who has received coverage from VPI for LP. Thanks.

| I never saw VPI cover any LP. I have a dog with LP and have had no success in getting anything covered. She's not gone for surgery but anything to do with LP gets denied. They seem to think it's pre-existing. Good Luck....cant wait to see what others say.

| My Ginger had surgery last July 2007 and I was already told by them (VPI) that it was not covered. I spent almost $4,000.00 for her surgery on both legs and I did not bother to submit claim because I know it was not covered. I also filed a claim for Hernia Repair and the representative told me that it wasn't covered too. I laready cancelled my other furbaby insurance with them but I'm still holding on for my 2 Yorkies but i'm planning to cancel them soon. |

| Yeah, I don't really understand the point of having the insurance (although I do have it for Teddi) because I thought since I paid so much for her I should get it but it has never come through for me with anything major! I was planning on canceling but I actually don't think I am even paying for it. I have the insurance through work and I know my work is paying for it but I think they forgot to take it out of my check because I have never seen it on my paycheck so I thought I'm not going to cancel because I really am not paying!

Although I will say I really wish I had gotten it before my girl got addisons, but who could have ever seen that coming?
