| Not gaining weight... Ryder is 14 1/2 weeks old and hasn't gained anything for the last month or so... He weighed 18 ounces around 8 weeks, and since then he's gained 2 ounces...so he's been 20 ounces for about 4 weeks now! He's round and chubby, and he eats VERY well ALL the time, has never had a sugar drop. He's just getting over a cold and has recovered fully, still eating like a pig throughout the illness. What could be wrong? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmmmm...you don't suspect anything w/ his liver, do you? His appetite sounds really good. What are you feeding? If he's "round and chubby", maybe he has just hit a plateau or something. Each dog seems so different - I think Marcel finally started "growth spurting" around 7-8 mths when his hormones kicked in. I think he's finally settled in around 3 pounds or so. Sometimes I think the little guys just take longer to grow and gain. He SURE is CUTE though - maybe his cuteness just weighs so darn much that his body feels he doesn't need any more weight!

| Check with your vet. Could it be worms? |

| I would be taking him to the vet and checking him for liver problems and have a complete blood panel done. |
