| SG Just a Wee Bit or Orijen 6 Fish? I have just brought Crickett home, she is currently on Science Diet puppy. My Westie is on JAWB. I was going to buy some Orijen 6 Fish this friday and start switching Turbo. My question is can I transition Crickett to the Orijen as well? or is it too high in protien? The guatenteed analysis is about the same as the Orijen puppy and it says that it is all life stages, so would you switch her to Orijen if she was your puppy? I would really like for them to be on the same food. I need to try grain free for Turbo due to allergies and really like the Orijen's ingredients. Thanks for all of your help!!

| I can't really help, except PLEASE get him off of Science Diet. It's not a good food. I know others here can answer your questions. |

| Read your list of ingredients. It is so full of grains. My vet put my little guy on i/d and the number one ingredient was corn. He had struvite crsytals and I could not see how this diet would help him, so I went a holsistic way to treat him and he's doing just fine now. In my opinion the farther you can get away from all the grains the better. |

| Well maybe for some vets it is,don't know. What to feed is such an individual choice. Some say this and some say that. I read the ingredients first and I just choose a higher quality food. My babies are full of energy and seem to get along fine with their food. Two are ten years old and my other is eight. It's hard to tell someone what to feed. |

| I know that Science Diet is an awlful food. I just wanted to know if the Orijen has too much protien for a puppy. My westie is on the Solid Gold Just a wee bit and I can still buy that and transition Crickett over to the SG, but I would like both of them to be on the same food if possible. So my question was, Is Orijen Too High in Protien for a puppy? The website says that the 6 fish is all life stages, so I know that I should be able to feed it to a puppy, but with Yorkies and their liver problems, I was wanting to check with all of you experts to see if this is okay before I start to transition her on the Orijen. Thanks for all of your help!!

| My vet said an all life stages food is fine for a puppy as long as it is a quality, balanced food. So much easier to feed everyone the same thing! I am switching Holly from SG Wee Bit to Timberwolf Organic Wild and Natural. It is ultra tiny kibble and both dogs love it.

| Orijen is great. Canidae is great too if you are looking for a less expensive quality food.
