| how much? is too much? I was visiting my daughter- she had a Yorkie but gave him away because she couldn't train him....now she has a Yorkie/Chi mix and thinks this 7 month old puppy is too fat! She has a bit of a belly but isn't obese. My DD is very weight conscious and am afraid she is passing this on to a puppy. Low fat, less food and thinks she should look a certain way (dunno...hourglass shape? Never inserting a link here so hope it works. How much, give or take should this sweetie weigh?)..http://picasaweb.google.ca/greensleeves54/WeekWithAmber |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | the puppy in the first picture looks perfectly healthy and not fat at all. Please tell your daughter not to starve the pup because she thinks it should look a certain way. dogs should have a waist and you should be able to feel the ribs but not see them.

| It's hard to tell from a picture. The puppy looks thin. I can't tell if it's a healthy thin or too thin. I'd have to see it in person. Could you see the outline of each rib? If so, too thin. Otherwise this puppy is probably an okay weight. Definitely NOT overweight
