| Dasuquin Msm Pearla was sick last few days with diarrhea only in the late night hours but would still have normal am and pm stool so i took her to her vet w/a stool culture. She put her on tylan and drontal..she has had giardia at birth and took flagyl but finished it in september and was fine till a few days ago her poop had mucus on it and i noticed she kept sniffing it way to close than her normal..vet said stop her r.c dry food for now and for 6-10 days feed her Hills Prescription Diet wet food w/her meds now she is doing great..during the exam she noticed her knees were a little popped out level 1 on right and level 2 on left which she never had before..so she gave me this chewable meds for her called dasuquin w/msm its like a joint supplement has anyone ever heard of it or use it? I havent started yet ..once she finishes all her other meds i can start.

| I luckily haven't had any knee problems, so I haven't heard of it. I will say prayers that the medicine takes care of her problems.

| Dasuquin is made by the same people that make Cosequin. In addition to glucosamine it contains MSM, which can help reduce inflammation, as well as ASU (Avocado/Soybean Unsaponifiable), which has been shown to reduce the breakdown of cartilage and may stimulate production of new cartilage. Charlie is on it for his knees (he's grade I/II, too). |
