| I'm new and have questions about the raw diet I am so sorry, I am sure these same questions have come up a million times and have already been answered, but I really don't have time to read through all the posts. I am very interested in the raw diet, not only for my Yorkie but also my 3 yr old Lab and my new kitten. I have pretty much settled on the NV patties and medallions. I have already visited their site and figured how much I would have to feed them and where I can go locally to get them. I guess I would like to hear some advice for someone that is just starting out. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Hi, welcome to YT!! have you done all your research on feeding raw? its becoming more popular but i hope that everyone who decides to take the plunge really reads up on it first. I fed NV medallions to my yorkie. Mine is 1 1/2 years old and 4.5lbs. she gets 3oz a day. When i decided to switch her i did it cold turkey. one day kibble, the next day raw and never went back to kibble. Mine did great with the switch and hasn't had any poop problems since. there is one huge great thread on raw and i really think you should at least read that one. here it is http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...highlight=diet

| I just started raw NV this week and I did the research then just jumped in. Kibble one day raw the next. My 3 did well on it. No problems with the switch. The thing I worried about was their stomaches not liking it so I bought pumpkin but its still sitting there, useless. look for the coupon to help you start and taljk to your local rep. Mine was an angel. Good luck and let us know what goes on. |
