| Help!!! My new puppy barely eats :( I picked up a beautiful teacup yorkie from a very reputable kennel in Long Island, NY, 9 days ago... and I can barely get him to eat anything!!! The woman at the kennel (she is a vet) told me to keep him warm and feed him 4 times a day because he is only 2 lbs (4 months old), but he doesn't seem to like anything I give him. Her instructions were to give him 1/3 cup of dry food (add a little water) mixed in with 1 tsp of wet food at each meal - both were Nutro Max puppy. He ate it the first two days, but now he just looks at it and walks away. We tried switching to a different wet food on day 4- Pedigree Puppy which he really liked at first, but now he doesn't really want that either. Last night (day 8) I switched the dry food to Merrick Puppy Plate - which has a 5 star rating, and he ate a few pieces, but I still don't think he is eating enough. I tried adding scrambled eggs to his food today, he nibbled a bit after an hour, but only after i tried feeding him from my hand. Help!!! He is probably eating a total of 1/4 cup of food (dry and wet combined) a day and I don't know what to do! Fortunately he loves the Nutra-cal that he gets after each meal... but that won't put any meat on his bones. Thanks, Lissa |

| you might want to try some boiled chicken and some rice. Maybe he would eat some cottage cheese. You also might want to read up on quality dog/puppy foods. Here's a website that compares food. (fyi a 6 star food is likely to much for a yorkie, look at a good 4 or 5 star food) http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...ndex.php/cat/1 hopefully someone else might have some other ideas for you Welcome to YT!! We love having new members & you can learn so much here. Plus we have lots of fun
