| Brush their teeth once a day. Mine chews alot on his bullystick which I think helps his teeth stays clean as well as brushing his teeth once a day. He used to have bad breath when he was changing teeth too because the adult teeth and the baby teeth were impacted. A lot of us here do not feed our yorkies greenies. Try to do a search on greenies and it'll show up.

| How old is your baby? Have you had her persistent baby teeth yet...it also could be she has a molar capped....the vet can take care of both. Stay away from greenies...some dogs have been known to die from them, as they expanded in their stomachs....

| Are all of her teeth okay? I use Petzlife gel and spray on mine, and it helps to keep their teeth clean and their breath fresh. They also chew on bully sticks, but I'm afraid of the greenies because it's too easy for them to choke on them.

| Have you tried a fingertip toothbrush? Those work really well for my two who hate having their teeth brushed. I've been using Petzlife spray and gel and that stuff is great!

| Gotta be patient and persistent in the brushing routine. i started with just cotton pad with doggie toothpast then just toothpaste on toothbrush and let him lick it..then gradually to just touching or swapping his tooth with it..now he is pretty much used to it but I still prefer to do it when he is sleeping or napping or after playing. it makes it easier and you can brush a tad longer

| In addition to regular brushing, there is a liquid oral treatment that you can add to their water that works wonders. One of my furkids had some breath that could knock you out and they stuff has helped a great deal with it. |

| I asked because I had a little girl I was training for my breeder. Her baby teeth had been removed, but her breath could knock you out. Had to take her to the vet's to get a health certificate and mentioned it to him. He took her into the back......her back molars were capped, he flipped the cap off, whala, no more bad breath.

| Thanks Everyone for the wonderful advice! I will try the cotton pad first since she didn't like the finger brush either. and I need to look into the oral treatment for the water. Thanks, Evelyn |

| Bama which oral treatment to you use? Just started using the Petkin about a week ago and very interested in the outcome......says you should see results in about 2 weeks.

| That is what I have right now. I just finished off a light blue bottle (don't know the name b/c I tossed it) but I didn't care for that brand. I'd used the Petkin before and liked it, so we're back to that now. That stuff is great! I had one that had skunk breath and Kimberley told me about the stuff...I owe her BIG time! And it did take about 2 weeks. |
