| Hello eveyone:) i have a ques..about ear mites? my little mamas has been having a funny smell from her ears..and i have read about ear mites , and from what i found out that ear mites are small little bugs around the ear where you can see the bugs, and the dogs ears start to bleed...but, (tiffany doesnt have any signs of blood discharge coming out), but i do...... see some brown dirt deep down her ear canal... not around her ears ...and it smells funny , so ..my quest. is ...does petco/petsmart/ have ear cleaner..to clean her ears...or should i go to the vet? ,,,,because going to the vet is sooooowh expense..iam a student on a budget... |

| ear mites will be deep down in the ear canal too. You'll need medicine to kill them so you'll probably have to go to the vet. A regular ear cleaner won't work

| Is this a puppy or an adult? Adult dogs rarely get ear mites. Since it is brown and smells funny I am going to say it is probably a yeast infection. There may be home remedies but it isn't anything I would do. She needs to see a vet for medication and they will give you cleaner also.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | if it is ear mites or an infection you need to go to the vet to get medication to clear it up. simply cleaning it won't help. the sooner you go the better, because if it is ear mites and they go untreated they can burrow into the brain.
