| Question: Hernia???? I just got back from a vet. I found little lump on Momiji's little tummy so I took her to a vet and she told me that it is hernia. She isn't in pain but I don't know anything about hernia. Do any one have some information on hernia??? Vet said only way to fix is surgery but she said we should wait and see for Momiji's case. If anyone has any experience, eill you please let me know?? I'm bit worried..... |

| Hernias need to be repaired surgically. Usually the best time to do that is when she is being spayed. My vet only charges an extra 25.00 if done at the same time as the spay. |

| A hernia that heals is no longer a hernia. |

| One of my yorkies had a double hernia and we had them repaired when she was spayed. Our other yorkie also had a very small hernia, but is closed itself up and didn't need surgery. I would say if the hernia is very small, it may heal itself. Just keep checking it. If it hasn't closed up by the time you have her spayed, I would have it repaired at that time.
