| Sorry - another HEAT question Ok, Kalina is in heat at 7 months old!! My BABY!! What I want to know is: It is very subtle. I wouldn't have known she was in heat except for the few drops of blood I saw on her bed. Then I looked and I noticed a little swelling. Other than that, she isn't acting too much different - a little moody in the beginning but not so much now. Is this normal? Is the first heat sometimes more subtle than the following? She's going to get spayed, I just waited too long and now I'll wait a little longer, but I'm still wondering.

| By the way, it is very subtle and if it wasn't for Ellie's horrible breath when she went into heat or small red dots I might not have known.

| ??? I know what ya'll mean... for the past two weeks Ive noticed that Meka private seems swollen and her "nipples" (are they called that w/ dogs?) are as well... I havent seen any blood at all, but she's 8 mos and it seems that would be the reason for the swelling... But Im clueless... Is there always blood? I had a female cat years ago that let everyone know when she was in heat... Do female dogs not do that? Is it only with boys?
