| Thinking of changing food...again I need some suggestions, please. I had my girls on RC YT28 and they were doing good on it. After reading many threads on food, it seemed that RC was too high in protein. So I changed them to Chicken Soup and they seem to be eating it but they are getting some serious eye boogies Im not sure what to do. Any suggestions Should I change again? Should I go back to RC? I want the best for them.

| We just switched to Orijen. I usually feed Canidae. Every time I try to switch we end up back at the Canidae. That's the one I recommend to everyone!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Higher protein is the best way to go for dogs, unless there is a health condition that requires low protein....so I'm not sure where you heard that, but it is quite a pervasive myth. It IS a nice myth for the dog food companies though - bc if they can convince us that our dogs need low-mid protein, they can produce a much cheaper dog food with lots of fillers instead of lots of protein!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | BTW, RC is 28% protein, which isn't considered high. You may want the read about the food here: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...ct=286&cat=all It contains a LOT of fillers and allergens...
