| Baby Teeth.. What do yorkie baby teeth look like and how old are they when they start losing their teeth? Riley is 6 months old and I noticed he spit something out of his mouth. I think its a baby tooth, but it doesn't look like just one. It looks like its 3 teeth but they are connected. Is this what they are suppose to look like? TIA!! |

| I know exactly what you are talking about. It does look like several teeth connected. It is a tooth. Zoey's looked the same way

| Jusg this morning I was playing with Rockie with one of his toys and I pulled it out of his mouth; blood came out on the toy. I checked and his back tooth is very loose. Rockie is 6 months and teething |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | you probably found a molar. its completely normal. by 6 months old most dogs have their incisors and k-9 adult teeth and the molars are making their way in.

| I think this is Riley's first tooth that hes lost. Should I be worried that this is his first lost tooth at his age? |

are his canines really tiny and pointy or are they slightly wider and not as sharp as they used to be?

| I'm not sure. He won't let me look in his mouth. It looks like he has two sets of teeth on the bottom. He has 4 sharp ones and two rows of tiny square ones just on the bottom. Lol. Is that normal? I tried taking a picture, but hes jumping around everywhere. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | if he has doubles, baby and adult teeth, then he will probably need to have them pulled when he is neutered. no biggie, happens to lots of small dogs. Mine had 6 teeth pulled.

| Mazee is losing her teeth also, she is 6 months old. I just found big tooth like that the other day on my couch, lol. She has been losing them for some time now, I have been keeping an eye on her canines...that was weird looking to see all those pointy teeth..lol but they did come out..and wow..their breath will knock you out when they are teething!!

| Ok. Since he has two sets of canines, which are his adult teeth? The wider ones or the pointer ones? I've decided to wait till hes around 8 months old to get him neutered. Should I rethink that decision and get him neutered earlier since he will probably have to have teeth pulled? |

| Scooby's teeth began to fal out even before I got him and now he is 6 he has almost lost all his baby teeth including canines, they came out one time 5 in one shot, then three, but a lot of them were rotten with huge cavity holes, I was wondering if that was normal for them to be rotten? Bandit on the other hand the Pom is NOW cutting molars and I found the first one the other day, bright clean white tooth no decay. my problem with the Pom is the Canines they are slow to come out and also the baby canines are wedged to hard in the gums. At the top of the top canines are the new adult canine coming out, I am not sure if I should have them pulled, he is such a tiny delicate dog, I hate to put him thru this terrible ordeal . Is it normal for the canines in a pom to come out at the top of the top teeth on the flat part of the gum just under the lip? Scooby's canines all just rell out and his adult is almost completely there |

| My little girl is eight months old, and just two days ago she lost her second to last baby tooth. She started losing them at about five months of age. I was a bit concerned that I would have to have the last few pulled, but it looks as if she'll end up losing them all on her own if I'm just patient with this final one.
