Default Worried sick!

I posted a few days ago about Riley having runny stool. Well it hasnt gotten any better and people have told me to take him to the vet. I planned on taking him to the vet on Weds of next week. Thats when I was going to get his shots. I called the vet about it and they said he needed to be seen ASAP. The problem is I have ZERO money until next Weds and now I'm terrified that something bad will happen to him between now and next week.

With runny stool this long, I'd say take him asap. Ask the vet if you can pay next Weds. - you could even leave a "post-dated" check maybe? Is there blood/mucous? How is his appetite? Are his gums pale? Pale gums indicate dehydration.

Is he a puppy? If so, that makes it even more urgent. Keep me posted!

If they say he needs to be seen ASAP then he really should be. You could speak with them and see if they will work with you. You could also ask them if they would accept a post dated check. I know a lot of vets have a sign posted saying that they require immediate payment, but most will make an exception if you're an established client.

No he doesnt have any blood or mucous in it. Its just runny. He eats fine. Drinks enough water too. His gums are normal. I've checked to make sure there aren't any white things in it. I hope he doesnt have worms. I just moved back to Chicago, so I haven't seen a vet here. I called one that was recommended and they won't accept a post dated check. He is only 6 months old.

Try giving him some canned pumpkin to firm his stools up, otherwise he can get dehydrated and have other serious issues from this. Its not healthy nor would I recommend allowing the stools to be this loose for this long, please take your baby in asap if the pumpkin doesnt firm his stools up. He could have pancreatis or another serious health issue.

I am really worried about your little guy. Please dont wait untill next wednesday he could dehydrate. If you are going to try the pumpkin first before taking him to the vet give him pedialyte also.

No. They won't make arrangements. Mainly because I just moved back to Chicago so whatever vet I go to, I'm going to be a new client. I talked to the vet about it and he said it could be stress and the move. The main reason he thinks this is because Riley is still eating regularly and drinking regularly. Plus there isn't anything bad looking in his stool. He said if its not getting better by Thursday to bring him in. The only problem, like I said before. I have zero money until next week. I even told them I would give a check and my credit card number. They still said no.

I called my mother and she is going to western union me some money tomorrow morning so hes going to the vet as soon as I get the money tomorrow. I'm not sure if this make sense or not, but Riley only has runny poop when I'm not here. I'm gone 8-5 on Tuesday and Thursday and when I come home theres runny poop on his pads. Well on the days I'm actually home all day, his poop is fine. 5 minutes ago, Riley pooped and it was hard and normal. Not runny at all. I might just be looking to much into it.

I really wonder if thats it because before we moved he always had a furbuddy with him when I wasn't with him. Now hes all alone. I wanna get another yorkie, but I'm going to wait a little while and make sure Riley is okay and is up to date on his shots.

He still plays with us like normal, but he has moments when he just sits there. I can tell in his eyes that something is bothering him. Its either Shady (the border collie) being gone or hes just sick.
