| New Mom Food Question My puppy won't eat. I have tried most of the ideas from posts on here but nothing seems to work. Today I tried baby junior chicken fingers cut up in her dog food and she is actually eating it! Is it okay to feed her that? I remember reading something about "no onions" somewhere on here? The chicken fingers ingredient lists mentions "onion powder" will it be bad for her? |

| My little girl got picky too after about a week here. I wouldnt rec'd the chicken fingers or anything with breading. I would boil the chicken and then shred it and mix it in with the kibble really good so that the chicken gets on the kibble. This should ensure that your little one is eating both and not just picking the chicken out.

| Hey Girlfriend! Is that little bugger still not eating. Are they the baby food chicken in a jar or are they breaded? The ones in the jar are fine and I would be okay with the breaded ones if you pick off the breading. I know how excited you must be that she is eating anything! You are doing great. Can't wait for our playdate! Last edited by SoCalyorkiLvr; 06-28-2005 at 05:06 PM. Reason: spelling |

| Hi There yes, they are the baby food chicken in a jar. For some reason she likes them so much she grabbed one out of my hand when I was trying to break it in little pieces. I have cooked her chicken breast...not interested. mixed a concoction of dog food and chicken in the blender...not interested. You should see my kitchen, looks like a lab. My house smells like dog food. ugh But she likes nutri cal and junior chicken this morning i mashed up some dog food and nutrical and syringed it. this afternoon I tried the baby food. i know it's not a permanent answer...the goal is DOG food. Just wanted to be sure "onion powder" won't hurt her. Wish I knew why one person posted not to give them onion? |

| Right I think your goal is DOG food, that is made especially for them. SOme human food is not good for them. Good luck, I know it is frustrating.
