| question about hair/bows/clips Doesn't it hurt them to put the rubber band in their hair? My hair/head hurts after I have my hair in a pony tail for very long and I don't want to do that to my puppy. Does it hurt her for me to put the barrettes and rubber bands in her hair? How long should they be left on? Is it ok for them to sleep with the pretty stuff in their hair? |

| I think that as long as you don't give the pup "asian eyes" it should be OK... No, they are not supposed to sleep with the hair do... You have to cut the grooming band every night and brush... that's what I try to do!! About the bows, I think is more about getting used to it than other thing... I think if you are careful, they should not bother the dog. It almost always breaks a little hair, but if you are gentile, and try to cut the bands instead of pulling, you minimize it... at least that's my experience...

| Thanks so much for your suggestions. I think all of the pups look so adorable with the hair accessories, but want to be careful with my baby. Thanks again. |

| You might try the baby barrettes-the little plastic ones made by Goody brand. They come in little animal shapes, and some are shaped like bows/geometrics-they are usually pastel colored, though I have seen them in brights too. You can get a pack of 25 or so at the drugstore for about $2-3. These work well for putting hair up, they're easy for US to take out, and hard for them to get out!

| If you loosen the topknot with the end of a rat tail comb when you're finished it will be more comfortable. |
