| Cleaning and Trimming the Hair by The Eyes I have a hard time cleaning spencer's eyes, our groomer reccommend that we try and use Vitacoat Diamond Eye to clear the gunk out of his eyes but the smell of it bugs him and he won't sit still. And when it comes to trimming the hair around the eyes he doesn't like the scissors or the shaver near his face because he freaks out. Do you guys have any tips or advice on how I can get the gunk out of his eyes and trim his face. thanks guys I appericate the help

| I just do a little at a time. they learn that you are not trying to hurt them. More important is I give min. marshmellows as grooming treats. |

| The easiest thing I have found is a flea comb (very small between teeth) as I do not cut their hair around their eyes and it will comb it right out.

| I don't cut the hair there, but I'd say if you want to get him used to the trimmer, to maybe turn it on and put the other end on his face every day until he gets used to the sound and vibration of it. When he seems not to freak out about it anymore, turn it over

| this has always been my problem but i always seem to go to the groomers to have them do it. i hate it b/c when it starts to grow out, it pokes in their eyes and...well i just hate it. i am just going to have to bite the bullet and let it grow out.

| Cutting the around the eyes!!! I bought those snub nosed baby scissors and cut the hair close to Widgets eyes, I grab her beard, and she seems to hold real still and lets me do it....they stay really clean this way I've found..... |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I trim tiny bits under my girls eyes so the hair doesn't poke them - I use these 2 tools - the black for Chanel cause she's a good girl about it and the personal trimmer with the little comb thingie for Cheri cause it's quiet and she isn't thrilled with a trimmer on her face....but I go SLOW and only a TINY AMOUNT it's best not to cut it if you don't have to |
