| Another Topknot Question How long do you keep your Yorkie's topknot? Sadie's is long enough to double up, but it gets all tangled and does not look good for long. Does it look good to just keep it appx. 2-1/2 inches long? She would probably look like those troll dolls that were out years ago (OK, I know I am dating myself), but I am desperate for ideas. I really don't want to just cut it off. Thanks. Kate

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL on the Troll Hairdo....we went thru that stage... Chanel just turned 5 and I've never cut her head hair except for when she was about 1-1/2 years old....It's long enough where she now has about a 6" braid...but when I brush her hair (no braid)it's about 9" long - Cheri is 3 and I've never cut hers.....The hair will grow I promise !! This is a good site if you need a visual http://www.yorkies4me.com/topknots.htm |

Thank you so much for the great info., and photos. I have never seen anything explained so well as it relates to the topknots. I will definitely try this, and hope it stays in. Much appreciated. You are always so very helpful. Kate

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh good !! I skip the double band part as I don't do the Showstyle Topknot....the hair always whisps out ....but it's a good way to see how much hair and where to gather it from....one day you'll be braiding and adding little touches .....the head hair if not cut does grow pretty long I noticed after 2 years of age Check it out ....I don't do this much but it's SO pretty..Chanel was 3 in this picture and she knew she looked pretty that day....She held her head so still for photos she made me laugh |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Topnots - have been on my mind this week, seeing how I'm still trying and learning . Villette - Love the pic of Chanel, she looks just like a little girl sitting there letting Mom fix her hair.
