| Knots around their face? Mr. Sam has a few lil knots around his nose and the sides of his face... I tried working them out with a pick after his bath but no such luck. One, I am afraid that I am hurting him and two, I am afraid that Im going to break his hair. He sits nicely (to a point) and let me do it but is there an easier way or a magical solution that you guys can recommend?

| If they're not coming out, you might have to resort to cutting them out. |

| I had to squirt pure conditioner (my own "Tail and Mane" conditioner which you can get at any beauty supply) on my furbaby's huuuuge mat she'd somehow gotten on her foreleg, in order to tease the knots (yes multiple knots that were intertwined into one huge mat) out. I just kept on squirting it onto the mat as I worked at it with my fingers, gently massaging it into the knots and then gently tugging each of them apart. It worked all but for a couple of very small knots that I cut at with the thinning shears I have for my own hair. Once I cut those with the thinning shears, then they just sort of pulled apart and I snipped just the tiny little leftovers entirely off which didn't show at all. You might putting pure conditioner on them and working them out with your fingers. |

| Thinning shears help alot with hard to get out matts..but I really doubt that you will get it out without breaking any hairs I am student groomer and have not come across anything that wont break any of the hair off. at least a little always breaks. I do know that matts can be very painful and cause rashes to a dogs or cats skin. But it you find a way please let me know
