| Bath Question: How bad is it to bathe everyday? Well, the weather has been really nice out here lately, all the snow is melting finally, so Mia and I go on loooong walks at the park. She gets filthy muddy running around and rolling around So I've had to give her baths both yesterday and today. It will probably be the same scenario tomorrow. We use an earth friendly puppy shampoo, which has not created any problems so far. Is it okay for her to get baths this frequently? I would consider using wipes, but the amount of dirt that gets trapped in her coat is unbelievable. Any ideas?

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I wouldn't bathe everyday. It not only dries out the coat (even if you use a conditioner) but it dries out the skin. Dogs need the oils that they produce to maintain healthy skin/coat. I'd just use a wet wash cloth to clean up in between baths. JMO

| bathing With a mud roller she must be a mess...would a sweater help? Drying her with a dryer is probably the hardest on her skin and hair.. I have seen larger dogs in water proof body suits for hunting, not sure if they make small ones... |

Can you take her a clean area to run/walk? That is what I do for mine. I carry them over to a hill nearby and let them lose....... Also, they wear boots and clothing.........keeps them warm and the mess on the clothes not on them. May I suggest washing her paws but using petwipes on her body?

If she did not roll in the mud, I would have tried the washcloth, but the mud was everywhere. Since the weather has been very nice, and she has been couped up during the snow storm and afterwards, I thought I would let her enjoy the sun and running around as much as possible. I will try dressing her and see if she likes the booties we got her. The last time she tried her boots on, she refused to walk an inch. Thank you all for suggestions.
