| Eye lash Glue with Breath Right strips? I am trying the breath right strips on the ears that I read about on the forum. The ? is can I use waterproof eyelash glue? That is all that I could find at Walmart. I thought it might hold with out it but he worked so hard at getting it off that I think one of his ears is bruised. At first it was red now it is red and purpleish. He is finally napping so I just took a peek at him and it looks like the inside of both ears is getting reddish. Is this just from bloodflow? It looks different that the part I think is bruised. I am not sure any of this is understandable. |

| I hope you get an answer -- I will be watching for it. I bought the strips and eyelash glue from Walmart too. Sadie now has one ear up and one down. So, maybe I won't need it. My granddaughters are coming this weekend so I figured I would try them on Monday if her other ear doesn't come up by then. But I don't want to irritate her ears.

| My experience with the breathe-rite strips was that they seemed to weigh the ears down. Instead, I taped the ears, folding each one like a taco shell, taped around one and then with a longer piece of tape, taped the other and hooked them together. It's difficult to explain and I don't have any photos. I tried the paper-type tape first because it was so light, but they were able to ruin that too quickly. I finally found the plastic tape used for holding bandages in place. It comes off fairly easily. Be sure to shave the ears first. |

If you have it just right, it won't weigh down the ear forward......placement is real important.

| I have only had to tape one dogs ear and that my my "little fart". I got her at nine weeks and her ears were up. I was so happy!!!!!!!! Then lo and behold, I woke up three days later and they were down. I happen to love erect ears so I got some masking tape . shaved her earss halfway down and put a flat piece of tape over both the front and back all the way down. I didn't fold her ears. Then I folded another piece of tape and put it across her head to each ear. that heeld them up and she looked like a little nurse running around instead of a little fart. I only taped them two days and took it off. They have never gone back down except when she wants loving, she lays her little ears back to the side of her head and gets kisses. |

What I did now is, reapplied the strips with taking off just one of the fat ends, half did not hold the ears up. So far so good they are still in from yesterday without any glue. Do not think they will last much longer that way though. Still a little worried about purplish ear tip though!! | |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Here is a good link for taping ears http://members.cox.net/jrogan/ears.html With Peeka i just trimmed all the time as close as i could and i massaged them all the time. Just be careful you don't want to break the cartilage in the ear
