| Growing Out Hair & Products to Help We have been growing out Mojo's hair and he is in that inbetween "bear" stage. Are there any products out there that will help his hair lay down and not look so "big"? We have Cowboy Magic, but we haven't used it because to be honest, he has never been matted or tangled. We are ordering the Sea Breeze Oil too. Plush, we have wood heat in the winter months, which can be drying...any products that I can use for this too OR that would help w/ both? Any help would be much appreciated!!!

| [F]YES!!! i know what you mean, well my Cocos hair had gotten long and i took her to the groomers last week. Well, when i got there, i told them specifically NOT to cut anything!!!! I always groom her at home but cant bring my self to do the dreaded "anal glands". So all they had to to was her anal glands and give her a bath, well, i get there to pick her up, and what do i find? They bring me a yorkie that looked "NOTHING" like my baby!!! they had cut her face and eye hair which didnt need to get cut...grrrrr!!! well, to make a long story short..LOL i too am looking for a product to make her hair grow quicker and tame down the "bear" look. I just started using a conditioner on her called "PETGOLD" seems to tame her hair and make it very silky... [/FONT]

| I heard you're suppose to use a method called tapering/wrapping? It makes the hair weigh less, so that hair grows quicker. Like with most hair, it slows growing when the hair is too heavy, so wrapping is a method to make hair grow more. |

| Hummmm.....I will need to look that up.....I think I seen a post on it just recently. I am really almost to the point of cutting it back off! Really! Mojo looks like a bear and it makes him look big too! It is crazy! Plus, the hair on his legs stick out everywhere! So, I need to get something on him or just cut it off! I am glad that I am not the only one dealing w/ this. - glad to have the support of others! Quote:
Where did you find PETGOLD? I need to look it up! Thanks!

| We have the detangling solution, but haven't used it yet. I have heard good things about it.

| I too have cowboy magic but I find he doesn't need it. He never mats and has very Thin hair. If I put it on, it makes him look greasy. I would love to grow his coat but it is ever-so-slowly growing.

| She looks wonderful! I am getting some!!! Villette posted awhile back about Sea Breeze Oil....it is from plushpuppy.com (I think). It mentions that it helps w/ hair growth too! You might want to check that out too. I am getting it too. She said a small about goes a long way. I think on the site, it said that you can dilute it, but I am not sure.

| Oh my goodness girls U got me scared to death to take Teddy to a groomer now! I just called this morning to get him in a new one...Next Thursday he's suppose to go, I didn't like the way she talked for when I ask her about putting teddys hair up in a top knot she said NO the "IN" Look was the puppy cut, I said NO NO, he's done had that look last year when he was ALL matted and had to be cut!! I told her he would BE 100% DEMATTED by me all I wanted her to do was wash him and put his hair up in a bow...THAT's it...Well I even ask her about a deal if I brought him in once a week, she said sure instead of the normal $30.00 each time she'd only charge me $15.00 each week...But U know since his hair is getting long I think I might just keep doing his hair myself!! I'm so afraid to take him now. His hair grows so so fast I cut it this spring and it's grown so much, now Tiffanies HAS'NT been cut (Her paws, butt, ears tipped been trimmed every now and then as needed) in a year and it's so so slow to grow, I think it's their coats, Tiffanies has the 100% straight, silky and Teddys is 100% curly wirey. Should I risk Teddys hair by a groomer? I just thought if I had his done @ a groomer it would be easier on me to help keep it up and let it grow. What do U all think. I need something for his DRY butt hair on top of his butt on his back is so so dry...And I guess I should get some Top Knot get to help me keep his hair up...He is one to take it down!! HELP HERE Hugs, Lee and Babies! P.S. I'm gonna go snap a photo of each of them to show U what I mean about their hair types! Hugs |
