Shave the ear with a mustach trimmer all the way down to the base on both sides. You do this to get the weight off the ears. Take a Breath Rite Strip and cut it in half. Take the sticky tape off and apply the Duo glue to the sticky part of the strip. Don't overload it, just a thin coat. Now on the inside of the ear, with the wider part down, place the strip in the center of the ear. Hold it in place until its completely dry. Then do the other ear the same way. Leave it on till it comes off, if the ears stand up and stay up for a couple of days you're home free. If not repeat. Not sure if this will work on a 5 1/2 old puppy. I've always shaved their ears before they open their eyes. But, at times have had to use this method on a stubborn ear.

| At what age should one become concerned that their yorkie's ears need intervention in order to stand up? Bubbles_mama, where in WA are you?
