| How old is she? I started mine the day they came home. They didn't really need it that bad, but I would use the back side of the brush so they would get use to something just going along their backs and side. I did this of a morning and evening. After a few days I turned the brush over and started using it the correct way. Just a little at a time. I've not had trouble with any of mine ever for grooming.

| Aww! I can soo relate. Stump was like this too. We found a bone or chew treat that he really loved, and he would lay in my lap and chew it while I brushed him. Also, I read a thread the other day about using the brushes that have the little balls on the end of each needle, and I bought one of those about a week ago, and it has been a HUGE change. If you don't have that kind of brush, try one! |

So my suggestion is to get or make a grooming arm. i can tell you how if you PM me. Also take her for a long walk and wear her out before brushing, that will take some of the sas out of her. | |

Sent ya a PM Jeanie. Adrianna hates to be groomed! She'll stay for a little bit (normally I'll give her a bone or something), but now she wants to chew the brush or comb!! Tonight when I came home from work, when I usually brush her, she was chewing on the brush while I combed her out....then the comb when I was brushing her. AGHHH!! I need help, lol.

| I had the same problem. Piccolo hated brushing. Then I would give him one small treat when I picked up the brush and put the rest of them on my chair. After a few strokes I'd give him one treat. Now I just put treats for him to see and I brush, comb, put a bow and THEN give him a treat. He's still not crazy about grooming but sits quietly and waits for his treat.
