| Show Sheen review Show Sheen: grooming spray for horses, detangler Some of my biggest issues with Zoie's very non-silky coat is keeping the mats out and trying to get her to sit still while I brush. She usually bites at me and the brush. I've used this twice now, both times after a bath and when Zoie was wet. The first time I was afraid to use much so I lightly spritzed her and combed a little, but it said to wait till dry to "groom" so I did. It was much easier to comb her through and the hair looked a tad shinier and layed flatter all week. Today, I bathed her and sprayed much more on her. I combed it all through better than I did last time and then let her air dry (I do most of the time.) SO, she first had an almost oily shine, but the product doesn't feel oily on her like Cowboy Magic does. I brushed her out and she looked less "wet" She brushed out the most easily that she EVER has and even while wet, the mats slid out better than when I used Cowboy Magic. She didn't bite at me ONCE today, which is a HUGE improvement. I wouldn't rec. this for silky coats unless you just had money to blow and wanted to try a little on a wet coat. The bottle is huge and will last forever!!! I highly recommend this for those coats that endeavor to mat or are not silky and you want more shine and the coat to lay flatter. I like this product and will "play" with usage and see what works best. I think I used too much this time and not enough last time. I haven't even tried on dry hair yet as it says it lasts a week and I don't want to overcoat her hair. It did last a week and she stayed virtually mat-free last week!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah. This product says it saves grooming time and for once I feel a product lives up to it's claim, now if they could just add fragrance!!! |
