| Does anyone shave just under the muzzle? Wondering if anyone shaves just under the muzzle but leaves the rest of the coat full? I love my girl in full coat but I am tired of fighting how nasty her beard gets when she eats and it is always wet because it seems to always be in her mouth :/ If you do this can you share photos? |

| I've seen shaved dogs but the whole coat. You can do it. Not going to harm the dog. And if you don't like it there hair grows back so fast,,,,,,Just post pics if you do |

| There's a cut called Korean cut, lots of Maltese & Yorkies sport it. https://www.facebook.com/joypia/medi...4798517&type=3

| Thanks for the link, I want to keep her coat long but that one area drives me crazy. I just do not want it to look odd. Typically how long does it take that area to grow back if I shave it? |

| Maybe you could cut her mustache and have her wear a snood when she eats? Lola kept getting her hair in her mouth, she ended up with a dreadlock in the hair from the corner of her mouth, so I cut it off and I cut her mustache shorter, it solved the problem. |

| Snood is a good idea... You can also band her mustache. I used to band Mimi's when she had full length hair. Mimi side beard.jpg I used snag free bands but you can also use mini terry scrunchies. This is a current pic of Mimi, she's kept in a shorter cut on the body & left longer on the legs. I cut her beard/ mustache shorter. Mimi summer cut.jpg

| I was given the advice before about banding and snoods and tried both as well as a small narrow bowl and none of those worked :/ |
