| L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner Is it OK to use L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner, Power Moisture, on our dogs? I saw a Yorkie with the most beautiful long hair on FB and this is what its owner uses. I've always heard we can use L'Oreal Classic conditioner, but I can't find it in the stores anymore. They've combined shampoo and conditioner to an all-in-one. Are all conditioners OK to use on our dogs?

| Conventional wisdom is that hair products for humans and dogs have a different pH balance. Also many made-for-dog hair products contain fewer ingredients and are considered healthier for pets. However, I do know many people, including exhibitors, who have always used human products on their Yorkies without problem.

| When I first joined YT I was surprised at the number of people then using Pantene products on their Yorkies. I have heard that shampoos need to be diluted with water. I have tried a couple of my shampoos and silk conditioners on my pups in the past, and had no adverse affects; but they do not have any allergies or sensitivities or skin problems. I just wanted them to smell nice and be soft and shiny.

| Hee hee hee, I find that miss lilah often seems to have more fancy (and more expensive!) hair products than I do and I am jonesing to use hers half the time! We share Argan oil, rose water and cowboy magic detangler but thus far have our own shampoos and conditioners/cream rinse.
