| Shiney Coat I was just wondering what everyone uses on their fur balls to make their costs so shiney?? I just ordered some coconut oil and am anxious to try it on both of us! Hehe! I'm not sure if that will provide the shine but know that it has multiple other benefits! Just curious what everyone uses! |

| I've try just about all of the products and with Zhoie being dark and cotton back, they just don't get the shine that silky coats do. She does have a nice decent shine now using Bio Groom Shampoo and Bio Groom Silk Conditioning Creme Rinse. I don't dilute them, I use the conditioner full strength. She never gets a tangle either. I don't brush her hair daily, but still no tangles. She has always had a sily shiney head and legs, but not a shiney back, more cottony coat on her back and Bio Groom even puts shine on her back coat. Hope this helps.

| I think it's more what you put "inside" them rather than the outside and when the dog is healthy, then the coat is too, and will shine. Of course the cotton coats don't shine as much as the silky coat. I took this picture of Razael yesterday while they were all playing in their play room. This was not after a bath, but two weeks after one. She got a bath today. The shampoo and conditioner I use on my girls is #1 All Systems. It's very concentrated and I can dilute it down as far as I want. Usually diluted down more in winter than in summer, but not by much. I buy them by the gallon and they last for my 4 girls for a couple years.

| I believe this is a huge factor, too. So, curious...what do you put "inside" yours? I feed Mandie Blue Buffalo and she gets a little coconut oil daily. I just started giving her some of the halo dreamcoat this week (it has various oils in it).

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Inside of mine; always access to filtered water. At least two or even three exercise sessions a day. I home feed, mainly meat with some veggies. They get joint supplements, my senior dog gets a few more supplements. Brushed out when in show coat for our Blackies daily, for the YT weekly. Wash weekly in show coat; washed now every 2wks or less dependent on the dirt quotient from our daily walks. Deep conditioning treatment on every 2wk wash. They get massage almost every day. This is a deep tissue massage. This stimulates the hair follicles, and of course is great for their muscles. Think of massage as an intelligent or goal oriented petting time for you and your dog(s).
