| Jackson's 'do - help us! Help us decide what to do. Okay, so, backstory: Jackson went to one groomer for the first year and a half of his life. She always did a decent job, but his ears were always cut all weird. We switched to a mobile groomer in mid-2010 and I've always been very happy with how she's cut him (except for one time) but then she started doing the 'visor cut' (like straight across)... it always looks cute... for about two days, lol. Then the hair hangs in front of his eyes. His hair NEVER used to do this. It used to just... grow out. Now I can't seem to get rid of the bang look. So I told her I wanted to stop doing the visor cut, which she was fine with, so now it's not so 'straight across' but it still begins to hang in his eyes fairly quickly after being groomed. Example: this was him after he was groomed in January this year: 553935_10152233303240319_2059330247_n_zpsa6610bfc.jpg This was him not even two days later: 10776537-a54a-42aa-b369-572d8aa8ad0d_zps92e86557.jpg This is typically what he looks like most of the time now if I don't use some kind of water or gel to brush it back (pic was taken almost a month ago so it's grown out considerably): bangs_zpsc0bdaaf1.jpg At this point, do you think it's almost long enough to where it will go back with the rest of his hair and not hang in front? If I let it keep growing out...? When I push it back away from his face, it stays there for a bit, but then ends up falling back down. I do not want a topknot though so I'm not sure. I'm kinda not wanting to use the same mobile groomer anymore, because I keep telling her every time "Still growing out those bangs..." but then I find I just have to start ALL over again because of the way she cuts them, they end up right back in his face. But otherwise she does a good job!! So I'm kinda torn, and I do like her. I scheduled an appt on April 17th with a different mobile groomer (who I did use once, instead of the other girl, when we were in a bind. She did a decent job, but I didn't like the ears or how short his face was) but I am going to maybe show her the pic of what she did, and what I liked/didn't like about it? Here is what this one mobile groomer did (who we only saw once): photo.JPG (See what I mean about the face tho? A little bit too 'sunken in' maybe, and ears I think I prefer cut all the way down, no hair left on sides of ears). I don't ever remember having so many issues with his hair ever, it used to just... grow out, and that was that, never had to mess with his hair in any way. Now it irks me so much to look at him and have his hair just hanging over his eyes! LOL but I don't want to be the annoying picky client either.

| As an example, our first mobile groomer who we use the most, this was the 2nd time she cut his hair and I really liked it. Looked like this, IMG_0056.jpg And 10 weeks later or so, it grew out like this (NOT over his eyes like it does now) e4518b49-762c-4bac-b470-0bc1e43d1286_zps3df6f041.jpg The problem did not start until this hair cut, with the visor cut last year: a2dd911f-b489-4627-8419-6526747cde7d_zps06202df8.jpg

| Here is where his hair is at as of now (but before I took this pic, I brushed it back with my hands lol)... usually it's still in front of his eyes, but I can't tell if it's almost to that point of not hanging in the eyes, etc. I'm just so scared getting it cut again will screw me up. But I'm going to make a point to tell the new groomer of this issue so hopefully she can help...

| The visor makes Jackson look too serious and does hide his beautiful eyes. In the last set of pics, the one in the middle where his hair is right, is it maybe cut a little shorter farther up between his eyes? This dilemma is partly how Max ended up with long hair, lol. I could never cut his bangs right when he was a pup. (P.S. I think you need to start a thread in the General section about your great victory today )

| I agree - the visor cut is not for Jackson. I like that other cut where the hair goes up and to the sides. It does appear that the hair between the eyes was trimmed shorter. Oooh, I am going to be on the lookout in the General Section - what is this victory Kristin is talking about, Brit?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hmm I don't know what would be best. If you definitely don't want a top knot maybe try cutting it shorter and have it stand up. Pixie doesn't have a top knot and I just keep hers spiked and it is never in her eyes. I couldn't fid a good side picture but you can kind of see how it's short and spiked.

| Jack has bangs - just a bit right above his eyes but not the entire top of his head so the hair stays out of his eyes and the longer hair on top falls nicely to the sides. Maybe something like that and ask this groomer to not cut Jackson's face so short. You can see where it looks a bit darker above his eyes is where it cut shorter and the rest lays nicely on the sides. I will see if I can find a better picture of his do.

Jack's cut is very similar to Pixie's and his hair never falls into his eyes either. Also regarding his ears, let the groomer know exactly what you want. Since the groomer is mobile, once you see Jackson, if there is something you don't like, let him/her know immediately and maybe you can get it fixed before they leave. Good luck!

| I really like the 5th pic...maybe tell your new groomer to use thinning shears on his bangs. That way, it won't look so heavy or visorish (loll) when growing out. The hair on the top of head also needs to be trimmed, that way it won't end up like pic #2, 2 days later. Pic #3, lolll! Looks like you can put a top knot on Jax!

| I don't know but Jackson looks cute in ALL the pics! I'm having a similar problem with Joels hair. I just gave up and check his eyes every once in a while for hair, lol |

| It looks like the groomer cut the visor back too far, so now the entire top of Jackson's head is a weird length to try and grow out. Maybe just cut the spike directly over the eyes (like Patti keeps Pixie) to hold back his hair as it grows out. Thst works well for Huey, too with just a narrow area cut short. Hair stays out of his eyes. Please ignore the shaved top of Huey's nose in this pic. That is now growing out.

| I agree completely about what's being said. I had this issue with Sophia and once I cut more between her eyes, the problem went away. I've attached some before and after pics, and her hair grows out perfectly now.
