YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Confessions! I used a Slicker on my Yorkie Oh dear, I might be kicked out of the exhibitors club.... So this morning; I'm so pressed for time, cause we wanted to get to the Lake and SWIM. I needed to re oil wrap Razzle in plastic, and get out the door!. Well one rear leg where the tan is had some clumped together hair right at the skin line, I tried picking it apart as I usually do; it was taking sooooooooo l o n g !!!!!! Then I went ummm; I go get my cat's tiny and soft slicker brush. It worked so so well! Very little hair was lost, and I got through that tangle in record time!. I don't think I'd do it every day of course, but in a pinch my cat's slicker brush is going in Razzle's grooming box!

| I use a slicker brush all the time on mats, and when blow drying the hair, after all the knots/tangles are out. A very light, gentle touch is best, as slickers can also damage the skin if used too vigorously.

| If used correctly, a slicker brush will not damage the hair... if used on dirty dry hair, it will most likely cause some major breakage/ split ends.
