| Suggestions Please Fergie has a fine cotton coat. It looks silky but it is like tiny fine long stings of cotton. No matter what I put on her to wear she mats! She even gets mats from her top knot, collar, and harness after only 10 mins. I have read and reread threads and am currently using Minksheen and Pek. (I've tried other shampoos and she will get these huge pussy bumps.) I am currently looking into satin lined closes and harnesses. I am using Madan pin brushes and combs. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as maybe a spray or dressing to use between baths to help? Or anything else I could possibly do? I am desperate and do not want to have to keep her cut down to the skin. Thanks!

| I don't think there is any product that will prevent mats under clothing or harnesses, especially if the hair type is prone to matting. You might find something interesting in Ann's thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...revention.html

| Silk makes a great tangle spray...Tangle Out I think it is called..but they only have one spray...it makes the mats release so easy... |

| Turbo has thin cottony hair that tangles easily too. I've been using the IOD Silky Coating Line on them & encounter very little tangles. The Brush Spray is wonderful. I now brush them only once or twice a week...but mine are all in short summer cuts right now. I left their leg hairs longer, it's so much easier to take care of! loll I'll be growing them out for the winter. Just fyi, I used the #5F blade on Turbo. Anything shorter will have him looking 'shaved' & the #4F will leave him looking 'shaggy'.
