YT 500 Club Member | Bathing your yorkie When giving your baby a bath do you shampoo their face or do you just use clear water. I am using oatmeal shampoo but don't want to sting her eyes with it. Thanks for your help |

| If you think she will hurt her eyes if some shampoo goes into them then try it on yourself first :P ... I use Pet Silk shampoo and conditioner, it doesnt irritate the eyes, also Bio Groom Fluffy Puppy shampoo doesnt irritate the eyes. You have to shampoo the face if not it gets dirty :/ I always shampoo Fido's face.

| I do wash Zoe's face, but very carefully. (I still fear that someday she's going to report me for "waterboarding" )

| I've been skipping his face when I bathe him. Guess I'd better start doing that then. He's going to LOVE it (not!) |

| I clean under her eyes before the bath & that ends up washing all of the front of her face, and I know it's tearless. For the rest of her head & sides of her muzzle I use a little shampoo. I use a tear free puppy shampoo, I think it's Hartz actually, & it really agrees with her skin & hair.

| It is really important to make sure you are using something that will not burn the eyes. The Spa Facial Scrub was recommended to me by my groomer. Some shampoos are not tear free.
