| Hair in eyes? How do I keep the hair out of my Yorkie's eyes? I've read that if you cut the hair around the eyes short, you have to continue cutting it or else the hair grows into the eyes. My Yorkie's hair grows fast and I can't afford to take him to the groomer every 2 weeks. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I just trim the hair myself every couple of weeks. Once you cut it it is a pain to grow out so I just keep cutting it. I have scissors with ball tips so it's safer to use around their eyes.

| I do this as well- Mine go to the groomer every 6 weeks, I trim around the eyes myself usually about 2 times in between that.

| I use Original Sprout hair gel on ZoE's hair while it is growing out to keep the little hairs out of her eyes.

| Hi, if you just let it grow it will lay flat around there muzzle area! Try using Pet Silk's top knot gel to help hold it down! Or just keep trimming it!

| I trim Copper myself. I like it short. I guess you have to decide what kind of yorkie cut you prefer and then work with that. Since I have a boy (and live with a husband and son who would not understand the bow/topknot thing) I keep Copper cut short. I think he looks neat and well groomed with a short cut. In the winter, I let his body hair grow a little more, but still keep his face trimmed up. It does take some practice to cut a yorkie's hair...but I'm convinced that I'm getting better at it. I just trimmed him today. It is not perfect, but I think he looks pretty good. And the best part...Copper doesn't care!
