| knot ideas? Hello everyone! I am here to brain storm some really cute hair knot ideas... I know everyone does the typical show top knots but i was wondering if anyone has other interesting ideas? When coco went for her groom she came back with a double pony with a clip. I took that idea and turned the second pony into pigtails and she looks super adorable! I was wondering what else is out there! (I like to keep coco looking special!) pic attached is the double pony. Ill try to take a picture of her pigtails tonight!

| I have done Jada's topknot in pigtails, sometimes I do one braid, I have done braided pigtails. When the topknot hair gets some length there are lots of different styles you can try. I just play around with Jada's hair. (can you tell that my skin kids were boys and I always wanted a little girl )

| I keep Betty Boop's in the double ponytail most of the time. She plays and scoots on the floor so much that this is about the only way she can wear it. Scooting and pulling at the band snaps her hair off, so it is getting shorter and shorter. I love it when I see everyone putting their baby's hair in different styles!

| I do a topknot in Fido like longhaired breeds like for example lhasa apsos and shih tzus have when they are not in the showring to maintain the facial hair, cause they are not wrapped for shows and the fur goes in the eyes and in the food and water if they dont have this topknot. This is Fido with his ''Shih tzu topknots'' as I call them How do you like them? http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._1037663_n.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...9_383540_n.jpg Most often I skip putting plastic bands in the beard, he doesnt like it much

| Oh my, she looks so darling I put double band in Zhoie's most of the time. Works much better for us as it stays in all day. I sometimes do piggytails too...they are just so cute.

I most often make 4-8 (depends on how much fur he has, best to start with 4) ''boxes'' on his head when i do this topknot, if you know what I mean, and band each one just temporary, then I make them perfect one at a time then I take the little lock of hair and put it in the next ''ponytail'' behind it. I don't do anything special to make a straight line, I just put so much work in this that it will be perfect at the end when I'm done ! I play with the hair, take few hair out of one lock and put in other and so on, until its almost perfect. I'll have to take pics step by step next time I do this one in him ! Im not good at english so pictures would be better to explain I hope you understand me.

| I use just a normal comb to do this and I spray conditioner over the fur before I start working with it so I dont mess it up and make it ugly.

What kind of a spray conditioner do you use?? I will most likely not find it where i am :P but will be something good to know for the future when we move back to regular civilization. I feel bad for coco. i always attempt to do her hair every 2 days but its not the neatest :P but coco understands that mommy tries very hard lol

I use Pet Silk Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner when I bathe him, and I just mix about 1 of the conditioner against 3-4 of water in a little spray bottle and I spray that to condition the coat everytime I groom him ! I have used also some special de-matting conditioner and something like that, but just a normal conditioner (a good one) and little bit of water and mix it well, I think it works just as good or even better than those special spray-in conditioner you can buy for alot of money in pet stores Do you spray conditioner on your yorkie when you brush him ? I didnt do it at first with Fido and his coat got so bad and ugly that I had to shave him to get it good again. I reccomand always spray a little bit of this conditioner mix over the coat before you brush ! It makes the coat alot better ! and then the coat doesnt get static. You don't have to use pet silk conditioner just use the one you have and mix it about 1 against 3-4 of water don't mix it too much I will rather mix alot conditioner against little water than the other way around.

| I just wanted to say your pup has the most beautiful eyes... and those eyelashes are to die for! My gosh what a pretty pup! Are you using rubber bands or hair elastics for banding? Rubber bands tend to cause more breakage than the other non-rubber types of elastics. And Sun is correct... always spray the coat, never brush or comb dry...
