| My Yorkie Hair is very short and isn't growing I have a 15week old girl yorkie(3months) who name is Chloe. I recieved her sometime in febuary born Jan.10th .Everysince I had her,her hair has not grown. I recently took her to the groom and they use Oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. Can anyone tell me why her hair isn't growing?? Here are some pictures of her to help out thank you! I really need to know why my yorkie doesn't look like the rest of them. |

| How long would you expect her hair to be? She's still a puppy give it time. Is she a purebred Yorkie? If she's mixed with something else her hair growth may take after that breed.

| I am going to be honest here, but she seems to look like possibly a chi/yorkie mix. I could very well be wrong but my first impression was that she was a mix. Nonetheless, she is cute as a button! What food are you feeding?

| from my papers and eerything else they said no mix full yorkie...so i thought maybe it will just take for her to grow her hair...the hair seems to be now growing around the face area but not the body.she has more than when she was only 8weeks ... I'm feeding her Puppy chow..but also I believe with me taking her a bath every other day was drying out her coat and that might be the problem..am i correct? Because when she came bk from the groomer she lookd and felt very soft and like a yorkie. |

I hate to say this ...But I agree. She looks of some mix to me. Possibly Yorkie/Poodle mix. I know a women who got a "full blooded" Yorkie with papers from a pet store who to this day his hair never grew out either. She brought him to my home to ask my opinion and my first impression of him was Chi mix. He was very leggy and had all the markings of a Chi. He strutted around with his tail fully erect all the time. Very uncaragtoristic of a Yorkie. I'm not trying to be mean here but that would be my opinion from the picture you posted I dont believe she is a full blooded Yorkie.

| She is cute alright, but I have to agree with another poster who said she looks like a mix. I would be willing to bet she is NOT a purebred yorkie. Her coloring is off, her face shape is off, the legs and body shape do not say yorkie -- I really think someone had a mating accident. Did the breeder breed other dogs besides yorkies? Maybe chihuahuas or another all black dog? If you paid full pure-bred price for this pup, I think you need to get a DNA test and make a complaint to get money refunded. Either one of her parents was not a yorkie at all, or was itself a yorkie mix. But none of this will take away from how lovable your pup will be or what a joy she will add to your family. I would still want to keep her and love her endlessly!

| she is very cute little puppy. And I do agree that she is not a pure bred one. She definately looks like she has Chi in her, just by her face and ears. Chi's have short hair. Unless this pups parents had a long haired chi. regardless, this is probably why your baby's hair is not growing. It might not ever grow, or if it does will be slowly, and not turn the regular colors a Yorkie will have.

| i talk to the person i bought it from which was from a farm in Van Buren Ar. She told me her father was mixed with poodle but her mother was full breed. on the papers it say's AKC registered. I love my puppy dearly even if she's not full breed... but I would love for her hair to grow. It still has not grown since the last time i posted pictures on here . i thought it was maybe the food, the shampoo im using , or something. She loves to chase after birds and alot of other weird things. Also, very tall and playful. I don't know what to do because we don't have the money to go and get DNA check-up and more. |

| She deserves to receive the same unconditional love, acceptance & loyalty that she loves to give to you. She is cute as she can be & looks like she would be tons of fun.
