| Need help/suggestions on what to do with Louis' hair I have never had Louis' hair cut short, so I am afraid to do anything to it. The problem I am having is whenever he pees he gets it on his belly hair. He has the "pee string" but it still gets on his belly. I was thinking about cutting his body hair short and leaving the hair on his head long. I definitely don't want to cut the hair on his face. I am still not sure what to do with the hair on his legs. Does anyone have any suggestions or pics of their dogs with a similar haircut? Here is a current pic of Louis.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | He's adorable... I would normally keep the hair on the belly cut short due to the smell. But because of his age he now gets an all over med/short cut.

| Hi, I am a groomer, and thats what i do for yorkies when their owner wants them left long, but to keep that area clean, we always shave around there. NOT TOO SHORT, you dont want to give razor burn. Its definatly better for the dog also to keep this area short, it keeps it much cleaner. |

| I keep Peek a Boo's tummy very short and use wipes. I'm trying to teach him to squat like a girly dog! bc when he lifts his leg, the hair on his sides falls right over his penis and gets blasted every time!

| That is exactly what happens to the hair on Louis' sides. It gets all wet with pee.

Max has the same problem as Louis, especially when I allow him to mark/lift his leg outside. I basically wash his belly and some of his "skirt" every single day. With both Max and Teddy, I trimmed a little of the hair on their bellies in front of their pee strings. That helped a lot. Nancy's Joey has a great cut. He has long head hair and leg hair, with everything else trimmed short.
