| Oh, congrats to you both! Need pictures please. I've groomed Zhoie since she came home and 12 wks and I love doing it myself. I'm far from being a pro but it works for both of us. At least, I feel she is safe. I even did the shave back last summer and I'm going to try it again this year. I love her cut like that. Come'on warm weather.

| May want to try a piece of mat like you would put in a cabinet to cushion the dishes. It makes a great tub/sink mat since the water can go through it, does not slide and is easy to clean. Also can use the mat for food bowl place mats. It great for that too, much cheaper and you can get several mats out of a roll l than pet store place mats.

Hope, this helps...just takes some practice. And most of all, remember...it's only hair, it will grow back. Try it and have some fun with it too.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Both should really be used when giving a full haircut. Clippers on the body and shears/thinners on the head. I also use shears and thinners on the legs and to neaten anything i missed on the body when i'm finished clipping. Thinners are your best friend. I use Andis Ultra Edge clippers and Geib shears and thinners. They have a few that aren't too pricey for the home groomer (entrees and gators).

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I just recently purchased a pair of thinging sheers after I saw a video of Yorkie being grommed with them. They make a big difference in how the cut turns out. Amaized at the difference they make in evening out the blunt cut of a reg. pair of sheers.

| http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...4/IMG_2686.jpg Here's Elvis! I used the clipper on his body (I decided I need a nicer one now) And I scissored his face, tail, butt and feet. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Great job. Elvis looks so cute. Mine are all in long coats but I don't have a clue how to use a clipper on them.
